Crypto futures are bets on price movement without owning the coins — mostly "perpetuals" with no expiry, tradable with leverage in both directions (long/short).
The funding rate keeps their price anchored to spot. Futures are professional tooling: leverage magnifies gains AND losses, up to liquidation of your margin.
What do "long" and "short" mean?
Long profits from rising prices, short from falling ones.
