Position size calculator
In short
Position size = risk amount ÷ stop distance. Risking 1% of €10,000 (€100) with a stop 5% below entry means trading €2,000 — no more, however convinced you are.
What is the 1% rule?
Risk at most 1% of capital per trade. Ten straight losses then cost under 10% of the account instead of the account.
