Whale
In short
Whales are addresses or actors with very large holdings. Their buys and sells can move prices noticeably — especially in small, illiquid coins.
On-chain services track whale moves live; large transfers to exchanges are read as sell warnings. Beware over-interpretation though: whales also shuffle internally, hedge, or deliberately mislead.
Are whale alerts a trading signal?
Alone, no — context is missing. An exchange transfer can mean selling, custody change or hedging.
