Seed-phrase phishing (fake support)

In short

In seed-phrase phishing, an attacker poses as support from an exchange or wallet maker and, under a pretext, demands your seed phrase — via chat, email, call or a fake website. Reveal it and you lose control of your funds instantly.

The defense is a single, absolute rule: no legitimate support ever asks for your seed phrase. Makers like Trezor state this explicitly. Your words belong only in your own device, never in a chat window or a linked page.

Support seems real and knows my name — what do I do?

Still never share the seed phrase. End the contact and reach out to the provider yourself via the officially known address.
